In this experimental CG project, I wanted to explore light-linking techniques in Redshift to achieve photorealistic results. Taking cues from how products are lit in real life but pushing it further with shaping and isolating how the light interacts with different materials. Inspired by still life arrangements and their interplay of light and shadow, I combined Megascans' high-fidelity assets with a 3D model of the Ozweego shoe. Using the dynamic place tool proved highly effective in creating interesting and unexpected compositions.
